Derek has over 25 years’ experience in property. Prior to setting up DPS in 2021, he was the Head of Property for the St. Helena Government for 3 years. In the UK he managed a broad portfolio of commercial property, worked as a conveyancer for a firm of solicitors and managed his own retail business for more than 15 years.
Derek grew up in the UK on a dairy farm and is an avid swimming coach and swimmer. In St. Helena Derek coaches and teaches swimming to a variety of swimmers including members of the St. Helena national swimming team, adults, children, and non-swimmers on a voluntary basis.
